Evil and divine inspiration

I notice that the latest issue of The Philosophers' Magazine has just been published, including a review from yours truly of Alain de Botton's latest, Religion For Atheists.
Also, a piece on the Guardian's Cif belief about evil and the latest spate of grim murders and mass killings...

Yes, the central characteristic of evil people is lack of empathy.
Yet another reason to have real literature taught in our schools from kindergarten up.
There's nothing else in the curriculum that tries to get people to put themselves in others' shoes.
It may be weak, but right now it's the only weapon we've got.
Excellent review of de Botton. A nice little article in itself, which makes a cogent and important point.
I tried emailing you about your "All that matters" book on God, but your link isn't working. I think the book is really outstanding. Not only do you have a superior talent for summarising dense issues without distortion, there is a real sense of your own issues and personality between the lines. It deserves to be a classic.
Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated.
Which link is bust?
Your "contact me" link in the left hand column. I tried sending messages and it spends a long time thinking about connecting to "mail.live.com" before saying message failed. If you are getting other mail via the site, it could of course be a problem at my end...
I think that email link looks for your email application, yes... Seems to be working from here...
